Cool things to try for Halloween This Year:
1.
Replace regular light bulbs with yellow bug lights for an eerie effect.
2. For a treat for kids,
make Vampire Mouths. Cut an apple into quarters, carve out the center of each quarter, and add slivered almonds
for 'teeth.'
3. Give out full size candy bars. Duh.
4. If you live in an area where
only a few kids visit, reward them with a plastic pumpkin full of Halloween goodies- light sticks, activity books,
Halloween stickers and tattoos.
5. Start "Booing" in your neighborhood. Leave a bag of treats, a paper
ghost to be hung in the window, and a note telling your neighbor they have been 'booed' and need to 'boo' two other people.
Hallmark even sells 'Boo' kits now. Lots of fun.
6. Dress up in a costume to give out your candy. Kids
love it, and you're never too old.
7. Make a Halloween snack mix out of Count Chocula or Boo Berry (hard to find)
or Oreo cereal, candy corn, raisins, chocolate chips, mini-marshmallows, anything else you think of. You and the kids will
eat the heck out of this yummy stuff, and it's perfect for soccer or school snacks.
8. Make your kid's
Halloween costume from scratch. (Ok, I was just kidding on that one.)
9. With poster board, make a 'pin
the nose on the pumpkin' game for the kids.
10. GO ALL OUT. Be the house in your neighborhood that the
kids remember when they grow up.
